 Shae-Lynn Bourne & Victor Kraatz
Fourth Place
I remember when Bourne and Kraatz first broke onto the international scene with their deep knee bends, their long sweeping edges, and their hydroblading.  After four straight bronze medals at Worlds, they were poised to move up last season when Krylova and Ovsyannikov retired; but an early-season injury took away their opportunity.

This year they're back, but the judges seem to have lost interest, placing them fourth.  There was no doubt that the Canadian crowd thought they deserved better, as did I.   An incredibly fast-moving dance couple, my blurry pictures attest to the difficulty of catching them on film and to their flashy style.
